John Gaff is a character in the Netflix series “The Watcher”. He is a private investigator who is hired by the Brannock family to investigate a series of threatening letters they have received. Gaff is a skilled investigator and he quickly uncovers a number of secrets about the Brannock’s neighborhood and the people who live there.
Gaff’s investigation leads him to a number of suspects, including a neighbor who is obsessed with the Brannock’s house, a former owner of the house who has a history of stalking, and a local handyman who has been seen lurking around the property. Gaff eventually uncovers the identity of the Watcher, but the ending of the series leaves it unclear whether or not the Watcher is ever caught.
